I feel that we've far exceeded the time in which a united organization between Marxist-Leninists and Anarchists is forged, but though the best time was in the past, the next best time is right now. With that in mind, I would like to create the titular Marxist-Leninist & Anarchist Alliance of Workers, or MLAAW.
MLAAW is, of course, intended to be an international organization, however, it would be dishonest of me if I didn't admit that I'm currently primarily interested in organization in the United States given the rapid development of fascism. To say that we're, "approaching fascism," is a farce: fascism isn't a logarithmic graph wherein you continually get closer and never reach it, nor are we wading through the Rubicon:
We have crossed the South bank of the Rubicon and are marching into Rome. Without the analogy: we have gone far past the point of American neoliberal capitalism approaching fascism—the United States of America IS fascist. We're far too late to prevent that. There was never an option of, "damage control," as the American neoliberals espoused.
It was either quiet fascism through neoliberal policy, or blatant fascism by Nazist policy, (Donald Trump is—whether he's aware of it or not—quite literally taking a leaf out of Adolf Hitler's book wherein subtle fascist interference—for instance, USAID's terrorist activity—is seen as weak, and instead violent force is used to project power,) though in this case it's Trumpist policy.
It must further be acknowledged that (even if it's ignored that Nazist policy was directly inspired by American policy, such as the likes of passports being explicitly invented for racist discrimination, non-white people being banned from unions, Jews no longer being considered white once they mass migrated to the United States and being depicted in American nationalist propaganda how they depicted Black people—dark skin, kinky hair, and exaggerated facial features—and being considered a Hebrew race, Henry Ford's—yes, that Ford—antisemitic writings in The International Jew, America's Manifest Destiny policy and genocide of Indigenous Americans inspiring Hitler's Final Solution, etc.—
—and even if it's ignored that the Nazis were directly aided by the United States, such as the likes of IBM providing the Nazis with punch card machines to make the Holocaust more efficient, Coca Cola producing Fanta specifically to continue selling soda to the Nazis made with local German materials due to embargoes and sanctions, the Free Society of Teutonia/Nationalistic Society of Teutonia/Friends of the Hitler Movement trying to get into good graces with the official NSDAP before eventually merging into the officially NSDAP-approved Friends of New Germany, etc.,)—
—even if it weren't Trump, it would have been someone else. The current regime isn't caused by Trump, the individual, ("The Great Man,") but is in fact caused by the insidious shifting of American policy towards more blatant fascism over the past 300 years, and the drastic shifting of American policy towards more blatant fascism over the past 50 years.
This is the fault of the American people as a whole, both deliberately fascist and complacently neoliberal. Trump is simply the figurehead of the bourgeois class who, rather bizarrely—though not wholly unexpectedly when looked at through the lens of historical materialism—personally took the mantle of the figurehead of the bourgeoisie.
America has always been a bourgeois democracy wherein our politicians are quite literally bought and sold by the bourgeoisie via Political Action Committees (PACs) and Super-PACs, but never has it been so blatantly clear. Generally, the bourgeoisie like to act in the background, pulling at the strings in a subtle—yet easily traceable—way.
This isn't some kind of, "shadow government," antisemitic bullshit, but rather the opposite: capitalism, fascism, and Christian nationalism intertwined with corporate policy, where the donors for politicians can be openly seen by the public (and are occasionally openly bragged about; for example, Elon Musk's idiocy), but the public is discouraged from looking—
—whether directly, through physical violence, or more indirectly, through psychological violence (for instance, the rapid enacting of policy after policy after policy rather than all at once and saying increasingly inflammatory statements, overflowing the news and burying grassroots uprisings, such as the Rage Against the Regime Los Angeles protests that are no longer being reported on as high-priority news.
In short, the United States has always been fascist. This was always the intention as well, what with Michael Parenti's analysis of pseudo-history being taught in American textbooks entirely omitting the horrifying bureaucratic nightmare that began the USA:
The so-called, "Founding Fathers," were self-aware bourgeoisie who were explicitly creating the United States' constitution with the purpose of placating the proletariat while maintaining the oligarchical class system (though they used different terms at the time, as this was pre-Marxist thought by about a century). The only reason the US constitution even has a bill of rights is because several colonies refused to ratify the constitution if there wasn't one included.
That's why they're all amendments. The average American was never meant to have rights, and the oldest of the American bourgeoisie were very openly discussing it before the country had even been formed. Fascism was always an American concept, and though both term and ideology were never fully congealed into a cohesive philosophy until Benito Mussolini, through the lens of historical materialism, George Washington was the first fascist.
So, we are in fascism. Something must be done.
Analyzing the situation in the United States materially, class consciousness is at a pathetic low. While much of younger Americans (largely Gen Z) have become open to Socialist policies, they still associate the words Socialism and Communism with Hitler and Stalin, respectively. We've additionally seen surges in false consciousness with the growth of the Democratic Socialist movement, which is nothing more than a modern reincarnation of the reformist Social Democratic movement.
I don't think much needs to be clarified in that the ideology of Democratic Socialism is an ideology that surfaces when liberals are first exposed to Socialist policies, but fail to sufficiently learn enough about Socialism, and consequently view reform through electoralism in a bourgeois democracy to be viable—
—and generally have basic, normal policies in mind like universal free healthcare and universal basic income (which in itself is a capitalist concept to attempt to forcibly preserve the economy from crumbling; Aaron Bastani's (author of the Fully Automated Luxury Communism manifesto) concept of universal basic services makes more sense in an actually Socialist model)—
—but fail to understand deeper needs like Land Back, redistribution of capital (realistically, in the form of workers, tools, and renewable resources like seeds and saplings) to the Global South, the abolition of private property—
—or even incredibly basic Socialist analysis like many luxury products and services (for instance, bananas) only being inexpensive in the Imperial Core (primarily Western Europe, Australia, and Canada, and dominantly the United States) due to corporations (for example, the United Fruit Company, now known as Chiquita, and the Standard Fruit Company, now known as Dole) exploiting (for example, through slavery, child labour, and indentured servitude) countries in the Global South (for example, Columbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Honduras), meaning degrowth in the Imperial Core (to the extreme of the dissolution of the Imperial Core and the equity of Earth) is necessary for the recovery of humanity, both in climate and in human rights.
In short: Democratic Socialists are Socialists who haven't received sufficient education and/or life experience (I hold the understanding that the more experience one has with capitalist oppression, the less theory they need to read—albeit it's still necessary to fully understand why and how things are happening to you, and why and how to fight back—and vice versa) to fully understand the magnitude of Communism and consequently become either Marxist-Leninists or Anarchists.
Either would be more suitably productive for them. But this is the hand we've been dealt, and we have to make do with these material conditions. Accordingly, I'm not going to waste my time focusing on converting liberals to Socialists, and I expect liberals and Democratic Socialists to come to us of their own accord on the basis of observing our actions.
It doesn't matter what we say if we're not doing anything to demonstrate we're actually here to support the working class. A million and one statements is useless in the face of a group of Anarchists cleaning up trash or a group of Marxist-Leninists volunteering in a food bank.
With this in mind, we come to the second part of materialist analysis: the groups actually interested in not just reforming an existing society, but rather upheaving it to a new method of life entirely. This concerns the Anarchists and the Marxist-Leninists (as well, of course, as the many sub-groups of these, but for simplicity's sake we're simply describing the major split in Socialist-state-to-abolish-classism-then-Anarchism and Anarchism-to-abolish-the-state-then-abolish-classism, or put simply, the split between Marx and Lenin or Bakunin and Kropotkin, as I often bring up).
We can argue and bicker all day about hypotheticals, but invoking dialectical materialism—i.e., focusing on the material conditions in reality of what is happening, and how that in turn affects human behaviour, and inversely, though with less weight, human behaviour in response in turn re-affects the material conditions of reality—let's instead analyze the facts as of right now:
Therefore, with this in mind, I would like to present the only viable alternative given these conditions: Marxist-Leninists and Anarchists must work together to form a borderless federation: one in which different Socialist groups can create different styles of Socialism, allowing people to migrate to whatever flavours best suit them—essentially, something akin to the basic outline I've been writing for the Socialist Republic of Sol.
If we don't come together, we will not survive this. We will be rounded up, captured, likely enslaved through penal labour, and possibly murdered en masse akin to Dachau in the past. Let's start building together—right now—before things are too late. I don't want future generations to have to start all over again: we're going to have to create a snowball movement.
With this in mind, I officially present the proposal that Marxist-Leninists and Anarchists, regardless of sub-ideology or our differences with each other, internationally, but especially within the United States of America, unite into a single alliance to fight together for the Socialist Republic of Sol: the Marxist-Leninist and Anarchist Alliance of Workers, or MLAAW.
The Marxist-Leninist and Anarchist Alliance of Workers, henceforth referred to as MLAAW, is to serve—as the name would suggest—as a united vanguard between Marxist-Leninists and Anarchists. This organization is to serve in the form of two distinct branches: the Red Bloc, which will be comprised of and organized according to the Marxist-Leninists, and the Black Bloc, which will be comprised of and organized according to the Anarchists.
Those in favour of building Socialist states within the future Socialist Republic of Sol, henceforth referred to as the SRS, will be part of the Red Bloc, and those in favour of building Anarcho-communes within the SRS will be part of the Black Bloc. It's of the utmost importance that these two blocs mutually cooperate with each other: the world cannot effectively change in our favour if we don't fight together. Even in past Socialist revolutions, Marxist-Leninists and Anarchists have fought together. We are not enemies.
The name of the organization, while MLAAW within this document, will be officially voted on once a reasonably sufficient amount of members (specific number not yet determined) are present to hold a STAR vote. For instance, the organization could simply have an acronym swap from MLAAW to AMLAW (Anarchist and Marxist-Leninist Alliance of Workers), or it could be entirely changed to a new name, for example, the Red-Black Scythe.
The name of the organization, ideally, should reflect the purpose of MLAAW in a manner clear to any new members. Therefore, names only relevant to our time, for instance, the Anti-MAGA League, names too similar to existing movements or organizations, for instance, United Socialists' Anti-Fascist Action, names too heavy-handed in one bloc, for instance, Leninist Liberation Vanguard, or alternatively Anarchist Freedom Bloc, or names that are too vague, irrelevant, or are generally considered religious naming conventions, for instance, New Dawn, should ideally be avoided.
However, names that don't reflect the current MLAAW naming convention and instead use conventional language while maintaining the clarity of intention, such as the Workers' Liberation Front, may alternatively be viable—though in any case, the clarity that both Marxist-Leninists and Anarchists should work together, as well as ease of pronouncing the name of the organization in total name or the commonly used acronym in its place (for instance, MLAAW and AMLAW could be simply pronounced as M-Law and Am-Law, respectively), should be paramount.
MLAAW will, of course, need to start its demonstration of praxis by supporting existing communities. This will include seemingly benign activities ranging from trash cleanup to volunteering to provide food to providing care whenever possible to the homeless and poor.
MLAAW will need to support marginalized and oppressed groups, such as Black and Brown people, the Disabled, Queer and Transgender people, those in extreme poverty, immigrants regardless of legal status, et cetera. A simple explanation of the kinds of people we need to uphold and empower can be succinctly explained in an excerpt from The New Colossus, a poem written when the Statue of Liberty was being created:
It's absolutely paramount that any services provided do not, under any circumstances, require anyone to join the organization or attend public MLAAW meetings in turn. MLAAW will not use cult recruitment tactics. Anyone who joins MLAAW is expected to do so of their own volition, and while reaching out to people about MLAAW is encouraged, nobody should ever be coerced to join: it should be their own decision that they make independently.
MLAAW will also be in desperate need of educated people, both autodidactic and professionally. We'll need not just members who are well-read and/or well-written in theory, but we'll also need people with complex technical skills ranging from programming and computer science to biology and chemistry to engineering and architecture to even physics and astronomy.
The reason for this is capitalism intentionally foments something colloquially referred to as, "brain-drain," wherein it's more profitable for capitalists to keep the majority of the proletariat uneducated. Additionally, those that are educated are generally employed for the capitalist class, whether directly under control of the bourgeoisie within corporations, or within bourgeois democracies such as the United States' NASA.
At the end of capitalism, we will be expected to restart an industrial society, rapidly developing green energy and shutting down fossil fuels in an urgent time period, as well as rapidly providing housing, medicine, public transportation, food, electricity, etc., to everyone as quickly as possible. Consequently, every member in MLAAW should strive to educate themselves in some field of intelligentsia whenever possible.
Given the explicitly Communist tendency, and the alliance itself putting aside problems that've prevented us from forming effective movements in the 21st century, it needs to be immediately clarified that MLAAW, from the moment it begins to gain noticeable traction, will be targeted by COINTELPRO or similar programs intended to foment fifth columns and sow dissent among members.
It's not a matter of if, but when.
Consequently, MLAAW will need to engage in some key operational security (or OPSEC) practices. First, the decentralization of information—i.e., whenever possible, important information should be separated among members. Second, organizational infighting is to be actively discouraged—wherein any debates take place, it should function scientifically; i.e., it should serve the purposes of coming to a greater conclusion together, not for the dominance of an opinion.
Wherein a mutual conclusion cannot be reached (for instance, the argument of the initial vs. final abolition of the state, an argument that will require data gathered during the SRS comparing the quality, safety, and productivity of life in Socialist states vs. Anarcho-communes, as well as the benefits of mutually working together rather than maintaining rigid borders), discussions are to be shut down.
The dissemination of group-fracturing arguments about theory and terminology is a known tactic used in COINTELPRO operations and should be avoided entirely. Third, MLAAW will need to be able to facilitate private and/or secret meetings, both among MLAAW representatives and groups within MLAAW (for instance, regional blocs) as this will help more critical information stay secure.
Fourth, wherever information can't be reliably spread by word of mouth (or equivalent personal delivery of paperwork), any communications and information delivery within MLAAW should be facilitated exclusively through secure networks. If possible, a skilled programmer within MLAAW could potentially help develop an MLAAW-specific communication network.
MLAAW is explicitly encouraged to be built within existing unions, organizations, and Socialist political parties wherever it's safe to do so. Additionally, MLAAW should strive to bring people in who are members of the Socialist Rifle Association (SocialistRA, or SRA), the Industrial Workers of the World (Wobblies, or IWW), and people who associate themselves with the grassroots Anti-Fascist Action (Anti-Fa) movement.
We should also, wherever possible, seek assistance from international Socialist organizations, or even advice from international Socialist governments, such as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam or the International Peoples' Assembly (IPA).
Members of MLAAW will be expected to learn, and where possible teach to others (regardless of MLAAW affiliation), Communist theory—an official reading, viewing, and listening list can be set up if necessary. Members of MLAAW are explicitly encouraged to write their own theory and create Communist propaganda, whether directly for MLAAW or in general.
I'll confess to some nervousness while publishing this document, but I suppose that's par for the course when you live in a fascist country and are part of three intersectional targeted groups, two parts sexual and one part political. However, I think it's of critical importance to get this off the ground.
I don't think the liberals are going to do anything when they fail the midterms, and I'm deeply concerned that the Amestapo will take over even if they do win the midterm elections somehow, despite being on a platform of transmisia and genocide. Regardless, even if the liberals somehow won, it wouldn't make anything better: it would just make them complacent with fascism.
Anyone who's mutuals with me is explicitly encouraged to contact me about MLAAW via Proton Mail (on account of its security), and I might possibly contact some people about MLAAW directly. Whatever shape it takes, I feel the SRS is a viable alternative to what we've been trying, and that MLAAW is a necessary step to take to liberate ourselves from neoliberal capitalism.
Remember, Comrades: We are doomed to victory.
